About Black CAP

Founded in 1989, the Black Coalition for AIDS Prevention (Black CAP) is Canada’s largest organization dedicated to mitigating the disproportionate impact of HIV/AIDS on Toronto’s Caribbean, African, and Black communities.

Under the motto, “All Black People’s Lives are Important,” Black CAP offers a range of services and programs catered to the identities, experiences, and needs of the city’s diverse Black population.

Over the past 33 years, Black CAP has served hundreds of people through local and provincial campaigns and national and international partnerships. An intentionally equity-driven organization, Black CAP has effectively led the charge to reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS in Toronto’s Black community and beyond and enhance the quality of life for people affected by HIV/AIDS.

This mission is a massive undertaking that can only be accomplished through collaboration, partnership, and community support. That is why we are calling on you to contribute to the fight against HIV/AIDS in the Black, African, and Caribbean communities.
